Benefits Analysis

Persons with HIV/AIDS on public benefits are frequently concerned about the impact a regular paycheck has on those benefits. While MTS strongly encourages employment, we recognize the important role that public benefits play in helping many of our clients. Every MTS client receiving public benefits receives a comprehensive Benefits Analysis. The Benefits Analysis shows clients how their benefits will be adjusted under various income scenarios. We also explain all appropriate work incentives to clients to demonstrate the value of seeking and keeping a job.

MTS is a leading source of Benefits Information for persons with HIV/AIDS and the organizations that serve them. Our “Guide to Benefits” is a fully comprehensive source of information on public benefits.

Case Management

With Ryan White funding provided by the New York State Department of Health-The AIDS Institute, MTS provides non-intensive case management services to insure that medical care and support services are available and maintained throughout work transition.

The MTS Alumni Association

All of our clients are lifetime members of MTS and can take advantage of a wide range of support services whenever the need them. The MTS Alumni Association is our resource for helping former clients. Whether it’s help with an updated resume, guidance on writing a cover letter or re-training, the Client Services staff at MTS is here to help.

Rehabilitation Services

MTS now offers “Rehabilitation Services” to clients on-site. The Rehabilitation clinic at MTS is open fifteen hours a week and is staffed by a licensed Rehabilitation Specialist who can provide Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Mental Health Therapy.
